In our first workshop it was mainly about experimenting with the paper and different ways of folding and cutting into the paper.
I took photographs of my experiments from different angles so that you can see all the different cuts and folds I made and also to experiment with how different angles of photography can make the piece look more interesting...
I started experimenting with making small slits on the edges of the paper and cutting lines down the paper then curling the sections to fit into the slits to see what this would create...
For this next experiment I cut lots of strips into the paper and curled the paper in different ways to fit into the slits to see what the outcome would be if I completely manipulated the paper...
I tried to make more of a planned design with a section of experimentation on it to see if it would work combining the two, I don't think it came out too bad, but maybe a bit more planning would of worked better...
The last experiment I did in this workshop wasn't planned, I decided to see what would happen if i cut sections out of the paper and curl and folded the paper around it and into the missing section, the outcome was a little strange...
